European Funding Guide 
Il portale European Funding Guide (www.european-funding-guide.eu) è un'iniziativa non-profit finanziata dall'UE sui contributi allo studio. Con questa piattaforma aiutiamo gli studenti di 16 Paesi UE ad accedere a oltre 12000 programmi di borsa di studio e altre forme di di sostegno finanziario, per un totale di 27 miliardi di Euro.
Le difficoltà finanziarie sono ancora il primo motivo che spinge gli studenti ad abbandonare o a non intraprendere un corso di studi superiore. Per affrontare il problema, noi - insieme alla Commissione Europea - abbiamo creato la più grande piattaforma online nell'UE per reperire aiuti finanziari: www.european-funding-guide.eu.
A questo scopo, abbiamo individuato e classificato più di 12000 borse di studio, sussidi e premi nell'intero territorio UE, per un valore complessivo di più di 27 miliardi di Euro l'anno. L'accesso alla piattaforma è totalmente gratuito ed è dedicato a studenti maturandi, laureandi e dottorandi. Il sito fornisce anche informazioni sulle borse di studio (per esempio, sui luoghi comuni più diffusi quali: non tutte le borse di studio sono elargite in base a criteri di merito o reddito) grazie all'aiuto di oltre 6880 sostenitori.
E' disponibile anche un nostro nuovo programma di borsa. Il programma si rivolge a studenti che svolgono lavori saltuari a sostegno dei propri studi. La borsa fa parte di una serie di programmi di sovvenzione destinati a studenti non inquadrabili nella classica definizione di élite e che finora hanno ricevuto pochi aiuti durante i propri studi.
Per effettuare la ricerca dovete creare un account ed inserire i dati necessari per affinare la ricerca delle borse di studio di vostro interesse. Questa registrazione e raccolta di dati è necessaria per il corretto funzionamento del complesso algoritmo di ricerca che usiamo e per permettervi di effettuare comodamente nuove ricerche in futuro. I vostri dati personali (nomi, gli indirizzi, ecc) non sono richiesti, permettendovi di rimanere anonimi, e gli account possono essere cancellati in qualsiasi momento. I dati degli utenti non saranno mai trasmessi a terzi, come specificato nella nostra politica della privacy.

University Student Fellowships
The EPS University Student Fellowships (EPS-USFs) are intended normally for students enrolled in Masters courses (second cycle, post Bachelor, pre-PhD) as recognition of academic excellence for promising young physics students. The EPS wishes to award three fellowships of 2000€ euros each.
Conditions for participation
- Students must be enrolled in a European institution in a physics or physics related degree granting course at the Masters level or equivalent;
- Third cycle students are not eligible;
- Students can receive an EPS-USF only once;
- Students who have received grants from other bodies are eligible.
- Recipients should spend a period of at least three months at the university of their choice which should be in another European country from where they are enrolled.
Selection procedure and criteria
Students must show why they need to study in the host institution, and selection criteria will be based on courses available, project possibilities and academic and scientific excellence.
Reporting
Within 60 days of the end of the study period, students are required submit a report showing activities accomplished, research undertaken, course work completed and an appreciation of the study period. Coordinators from the home institution are responsible for ensuring that the student completes the report. Any home institution that does not send in a report risks being declared ineligible for further grants.
Application procedure
- The student must submit a research project (max 2 A4 pages, in English).
- The student must indicate the length of the stay abroad (at least 3 months) and justify the benefits to their physics studies in terms of course work and research.
- The student must include a CV and list of courses with grades
- Letters of acceptance from the host and home institutions must accompany the request for a fellowship. This should include a statement of the home institute to recognize the grading given by the host institute.
Time Period
The deadline for applications in 2012 (for the academic year beginning in September 2012) is 15 May 2012.
